The name Kanterra was inspired by the Japanese word for lantern (lighting the way).
Considering the massive landscape of products and competitors, we noted that many products shared the same language of affect and segmentation. In addition, legislation did not allow the exact effect of a strain to be described on labels.
We moved our creative strategy to take a user through a journey of various unique landscapes, evoking and suggesting the feeling a user would experience when using each product. From the beaches of an inland sea, up through thick bamboo forests, great lush gardens to the neon towers of a great metropolis.

The hills begin to flatten out, the terrain becomes less rugged—grass, trees, and flowers appear. You step from the trail and into the Great Garden. Cherry blossoms abound and you instantly feel your spirits lift to new heights.
At first the tree-line is thin and spread unevenly, but soon their arrangement becomes more dense. Only small pockets of sky are now visible as you walk beneath the Bamboo Forest. A serene sense of otherness washes over you, like a beautiful dreamscape guiding you through the deepest recesses of your mind.
You look upon the dazzling lights of the city as they blink against the dark canvas of night. You feel an energy begin to rise inside of you and expand in front of you. A desire to explore the buildings and streets grows, the pulse of the city pulling you in...
